Terms of Service
Last updated: 4 October 2026
These Terms govern your use of O-Logs (the "Service"), operated by Jakub Ritter. By creating an account, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Who can use O-Logs
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By checking the box at signup, you're confirming you meet this requirement — we don't independently verify age. If you're under 16, please don't use O-Logs.
2. Your account
You're responsible for the activity that happens under your account, and for keeping your password secure. Tell us immediately if you think your account has been compromised. You must provide accurate information when you register, including the age confirmation above.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload a GPS track that isn't your own, or falsify a track to misrepresent your result;
- Use another person's invite code or event-admin access without authorization;
- Upload content you don't have the right to share (e.g. a copyrighted map you don't have permission to use);
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data;
- Use the Service to harass, impersonate, or harm another person.
We can suspend or remove an account or piece of content that violates these rules.
4. Content you upload
You keep ownership of the GPS tracks, map images, and other content you upload. By uploading it, you give us the license we need to store, process, and display it back to you and (where relevant, like a linked event's results) to other users of that event. If you're an event organizer, you're responsible for having the right to share any map image or course data you upload.
5. Maps and course data
Orienteering maps are copyrighted works, usually owned by the club that commissioned them and/or the mapper. O-Logs only displays a map when the person uploading it has the right to do so.
- Your confirmation. By uploading a map or course data, you confirm that you own it or have the rights-holder's permission to publish it on O-Logs for that event.
- License to O-Logs. You grant O-Logs a free, non-exclusive, revocable license to store the map and display it within the event it was uploaded to (including track overlays, replays and split analysis). This license ends when the map is removed.
- How maps are shown. Maps are displayed as images in the browser for route analysis only. We don't offer map downloads or distribute source files (e.g. OCAD). Organizers can restrict access with an event password or a "visible from" time.
- Rights-holders: removal requests. If you own a map shown on O-Logs and didn't authorize it, email contact@o-logs.com with the event link and proof of ownership. We aim to remove the map within 24 hours. Tracks and results may stay visible without the map.
- Repeat infringement. We may remove maps, events or accounts that repeatedly upload maps without permission.
6. Results aren't official timing
O-Logs is a community results/replay tool. Times, splits, and rankings shown here are derived from GPS data you provide and aren't a substitute for an event's official timing system unless the organizer says otherwise.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the Service running, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from your profile page. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms.
9. Disclaimer & liability
The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited under the law that applies to you (for example, liability for gross negligence or fraud).
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time; we'll update the "last updated" date above, and for material changes we'll try to notify you directly.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you're a consumer resident in the EU/EEA, this doesn't take away protections you're entitled to under the mandatory laws of your own country of residence.
